Thank you for your feedback, James. The article was especially difficult for me to read, I literally had to take it apart. I always work with mind maps when I need to learn / remember something really well, or when I need to see connections that are not immediately clear to me. The latter was the case for me with this article. The diagram now only shows the view of the students now, so you could complete it even more.
One of the great things about being a tutor on IDEL (and the Digital Education programme more generally) is seeing how students imaginatively and critically find ways of responding ideas and resources that we encounter. Your diagram here would seem to be a really effective way of representing and connecting the ideas in the Tsai et al. article. It makes me wonder whether in future instances of IDEL we might have an exercise along these lines where everyone attempts to respond diagrammatically to an article? I’m going to add this my list of ideas to come back to – thanks!
